In September 2015, I was invited by TIE and the Ministry of Education to participate in a conference that was driven by the Literacy and Numeracy Education Support (LANES) program. The Conference took place at Julius Nyerere International Convention Center in Dar es Salaam from 28th September to 2nd October 2015. During the whole conference duration, I exhibited on how to use Open Source Software and Web-based Technologies to Enhance Numeracy Teaching and Learning. The exhibition was an idea I had for a long time, motivated by the need to change the way we teach numeracy and mathematics in general (as outlined in the document below), where the appropriate use of effective technology becomes inevitable.

Several years later, specifically, in 2021, we were funded by the University of Dar es Salaam to implement the idea, and since then we have already developed miscellaneous, interactive, attractive, fun and entertaining GeoGebra applets that will help to motivate and inspire early grade learners to learn numeracy, hence significantly and statistically improving their critical thinking skills, creativity, knowledge on the subject, and performance, while preparing the next generation for the forth industrial revolution. Such applets are curated at TSSFL Stack (this platform), and will soon be released for public consumption.
