Wits university runs a mathematics competition open to all students across Africa (countries with telephone code beginning with "2"), or at least all students in the appropriate age divisions. We include an undergraduate age division (first 3 years of tertiary study). We also have divisions for pre-university students but I suspect that will be of less interest to this group.
Interested institutions may sign up here https://wmc.ms.wits.ac.za (as well as see our FAQ for questions about the competition and training resources). Further questions about the competition should be addressed to witsmathscompetition@gmail.com
Each institution should be signed up by the academic organising the competition at that institution. As we'd imagine most of you are primarily interested in computer science instead of pure mathematics we'd appreciate you forwarding this invitation to friends and colleagues in your mathematics departments (although if you are interested in acting as the local organizer at your institution we'd be delighted to have you register.
Best regards and good luck for the competition!
