STEP Program Application to Spend Time For PhD Study at ICTP, Italy

Strong theory-oriented PhD candidates from developing countries who are willing to spend part of their cursus at the International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), Trieste, Italy, and who verify the following conditions:

1) to already be enrolled in a PhD program in applied mathematics, theoretical physics, computer science or electrical engineering
2) to work in at least one of the following fields and relatives: statistical physics of disordered systems, theoretical machine learning, theoretical computer science, high-dimensional statistics and probability, information theory and error correcting codes, signal processing, discrete mathematics and combinatorial optimization are welcome to contact Dr. Jean Barbier to discuss possibilities of a joint PhD through the STEP program: https://www.ictp.it/programmes/step.aspx
