Osnabrueck University's research group "Applied Analysis" (belonging
to the Institute of Mathematics) offers the position of a Research
Assistant, starting October 1, 2019 (initially limited for 3 years).

The research group "Applied Analysis" focuses on high-dimensional
approximation and integration, information-based complexity,
discrepancy theory, randomized algorithms, and applied Fourier
analysis. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work
towards a PhD.

Required qualifications: A Master degree in Mathematics or Computer
Science. Desired qualifications: Good skills in one or more of the
following areas: functional analysis, harmonic analysis, numerical
analysis, approximation theory, combinatorics, stochastics, Monte
Carlo and quasi-Monte Carlo methods; Being proacitve.
