The Cyprus Institute Graduate School will offer merit-based scholarships to top students accepted to its Environmental Sciences Master’s degree program in Fall 2019.

The Program, which is unique in Cyprus, prepares the next generation of leaders in the field of Environmental Sciences. It offers two degree options, an MSc (one-year program, 90 ECTS) ideal for students pursuing a professional career in the field and an MSc/MPhil (18-month program, 120 ECTS) which comes with an enhanced research component catering to students that want to pursue a research career.

The program’s diverse curriculum offers two specialization tracks: Meteorology and Atmospheric Sciences. The Meteorology specialization covers all topics required for professionals employed by national meteorological authorities, as required by the World Meteorological Organization, rendering it ideal for existing professionals who want to formalize their education. It is also an ideal option for students with a Bachelor’s degree in physical sciences, mathematics or engineering, who want to pursue a career in Meteorology and Climate research. The Atmospheric Sciences specialization equips students with the necessary knowledge and skills to pursue a career in Atmospheric and Air Pollution Sciences: in environmental consulting agencies, environmental monitoring divisions of public and private institutions, and Atmospheric and Climate research in academic institutions.

The program instructors consist of an international group of renowned scholars and researchers; several of them are prominent scientists from the Cyprus Department of Meteorology.

For more information about the program and to apply, please visit The Cyprus Institute website.

The program is accredited by the Cyprus Agency of Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Higher Education and is in line with the Bologna Process Second Cycle Degree Guidelines.
