At least 136 people have died after a passenger ferry capsized in Lake Victoria, according to Tanzania Police reports. The MV Nyerere ferry capsized close to the pier on Ukara Island on Africa's largest lake on Thursday, 20th September 2018, when passengers rushed to one side to disembark as it approached the dock.
