Happiest and Unhappiest Countries in the World

The World Happiness Report 2018, released on Wednesday, 14th March 2018, reveals Finland to be the happiest country in the world, followed by Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Canada, New Zealand, Sweden and Australia. Though in a different order, this is the same top 10 as last year's list, when Norway was number one and Finland was fifth.

Burundi and Central African Republic, both affected by political calamity and violence, are the least happy countries for the second year in a row, followed by South Sudan and Tanzania. This year, Central African Republic is slightly happier than Burundi; last year, their order was reversed. Below are the lists of the top ten happiest nations in the world and least ten unhappiest nations in the world.
