I know the kernel is written in C, and there are quite many packages written in Python (although Python interpreter itself is written in C), others in C, C++, Perl, Shell script, Java and even assembly. It looks like Ubuntu maintainers have been recommending Python!
Just curious, which languages are used to write specific Ubuntu programs?
