1) We are seeking exceptional female scientists or technologists.

The Next Einstein Forum (NEF) in partnership with the Robert Bosch Stiftung is a new global forum for science in Africa that will propel Africa onto the global scientific stage.

As part of the NEF, we are looking to identify outstanding women scientists from Africa. The NEF will select the full cohort of 15 African top young scientists (including social scientists) in order to showcase them on the global stage, connecting them with leaders from industry, funding agencies, government, and civil-society and to feature them as ambassadors of the excellence in science taking place today across Africa. Full information is available in English and French at http://nef.org/nef-fellows/.

The selection panel will include eminent scientists from around the world including Nobel Laureates. We have already chosen 12 of the 15 cohort of NEF Fellows for 2015/2016.

Applications to be a NEF Fellow are open to Africans from around the world – including those who currently reside in the Diaspora – in all fields of science, including the social sciences and technology fields. Applicants should be under 42 years old and have a doctorate degree with a demonstrated track record of innovative research and findings. NEF Fellows must also be passionate about raising Africa’s science profile and be able to captivate both a scientific and non-scientific audience.

If you need any more information (not covered online or below) or if you have any questions, please contact us at fellows@nef.org and feel free to browse our website at http://www.nef.org. The deadline for applications is December 31st, 2015.

2) TechWomen

One of our NEF partners TechWomen is accepting applications for their 2016 program. Spread the word to African, Central Asian, and Middle Eastern‪#‎womeninSTEM‬. Applications are now open. Please check out the opportunity at: http://bit.ly/1yNKplU
