This is a brief announcement regarding the Project Numeracy (Project Registration Number: DUCE-20122), officially titled "Open Source Software and Web-based Technologies to Enhance Early Grade Teaching and Learning", funded through the University of Dar Es Salaam Competitive Research and Innovation Grant for the year 2020/2021. We convey our tremendous thanks to the University of Dar es Salaam for making this project possible.

The project's goal has been to transform the conventional numeracy content into enriched digitized interactive GeoGebra applets. Under this project, various GeoGebra applets have been developed and curated at TSSFL Stack for the purpose of revitalizing numeracy teaching and learning, and establishing a database of digitally enriched early grade teaching and learning resources. These applets are categorized into several topics, namely Numbers and Counting, Shapes, Put Together, Take Away, Puzzles, Games and Entertainments, and Colors and Drawing. The project presents an opportunity to early grade learners to learn in a funny, entertaining, attractive, and interactive way. Such approach, in the long run, favors the development of learners' critical skills, namely; creativity, critical thinking, discovery, innovation, and problem-solving which are desirable in the era of the fourth industrial revolution. The developed digital online content conform with the Tanzania curriculum for early grade learners, and can be flexibly used by other groups of early grade learners world wide. We intend from time to time to continually develop, review, and improve the content quantity, quality and scope.

We greatly acknowledge and thank the diverse open-source GeoGebra community for their support, especially those individuals whose insights contributed technically during materials development, and also all those from which we borrowed their ideas, used or modified their contents to suit our needs. Much thanks to Geogebra Team, as Project Numeracy resources are served from GeoGebra web servers by the GeoGebra Group (Copyright © International GeoGebra Institute, 2013). We also acknowledge links to some YouTube content.
