This is an invitation to the 5th Workshop on Virus Dynamics will take place virtually on October 4-6, 2021.

The Workshop on Virus Dynamics series is an initiative to bring together virologists and immunologists with mathematical modelers and systems biologists to discuss current approaches and challenges in modeling and analyzing different aspects of virus dynamics. This 5th version of the workshop builds on the success of previous ones in Frankfurt (2013), Toronto (2015), Heidelberg (2017) and Paris (2019). We are committed to keeping the health and safety of participants and the general public in consideration. Therefore, we will hold our 2021 workshop in a three-day virtual format.

We are excited to announce confirmed plenary speakers:

Katia Koelle | Emory University, USA

Wilfred Ndifon | African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS), Rwanda

Robert Siliciano | Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, USA

To register for the workshop, please visit our website at: https://www.fredhutch.org/en/events/wor ... amics.html . The registration fee is waived for all trainees including medical students, graduate students and post-doctoral scientists.

We are open for abstract submissions and the deadline for submission is August 31.

The list of topics will include but not be limited to:

HIV
Hepatitis B and C
SARS-CoV-2
Influenza
Other viruses
Adaptive and innate immune responses
In vitro virus infection
Treatments and curative interventions
Vaccines
Prevention
Viral evolution
Computational and statistical tools

We actively encourage participation of researchers from around the globe, including junior scientists and members of underrepresented groups. Please feel free to share this information with colleagues who would be interested in participating in this workshop.

Questions? Please contact Angela Mittmann if you have any questions or need assistance.
