The panel discussion on Monday 19th October at 1300 GMT/UTC on the Physics Nobel 2020 can now be followed live on YouTube at



The panelists will be taking questions from youtube chat as well as zoom. Please do spread the link in your networks. An updated poster with the link is attached here.

The Outreach Committee of the African Astronomical Society is very happy to invite you to to a panel discussion on the work and the people behind the Physics Nobel Prize 2020, awarded to Roger Penrose, Andrea Ghez and Reinhard Genzel.

This will be at 1300 GMT/UTC on Monday, 19th October (1200 Cape Verde Time, 1400 WAT, 1500 CAT/SAST, 1600 EAT, 1700 Mauritius Time).

We expect the zoom room to fill up pretty quickly, so please do use the youtube link if that happens.

We have an awesome line up of panelists for you - George Ellis, Roy Maartens, Rituparno Goswami, Roger Deane, Tana Joseph and Rhodri Evans - and Amare Abebe and Brenda Namumba will be moderating the discussions. The event poster is attached.

We will also be organising a similar panel discussion next week in French, and an announcement for that will follow.
