Below are three famous open source/software freedom presentations by Richard Stallman, the starling software freedom activist (see also about ESR and Linus).
Richard Matthew Stallman, often known by his initials, rms, is an American software freedom activist and programmer, born on 16th March 1953 in Manhattan, New York City, New York, United States. He received his education from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1974–1975), and Harvard University (1970–1974) (ref: Stallman).
He launched the GNU Project, founded the Free Software Foundation, developed the GNU Compiler Collection and GNU Emacs, and wrote the GNU General Public License (GPL).
Stallman companions, include Eric Steven Raymond, often referred to as ESR and Linus Torvalds.
ESR founded Open Source Initiative organization. He is a software developer and author of the widely cited 1997 essay and 1999 book The Cathedral and the Bazaar and other works (ref: ESR ).
Linus Benedict Torvalds is a Finnish software engineer who is the creator and, for a long time, principal developer, of the Linux kernel; which became the kernel for operating systems such as the GNU Linux operating system, Android and Chrome OS (ref: Linus).

"Hacking is a playful spirit, hackers are people who enjoy playful cleverness", says Richard Stallman. This spirit of thinking triggered the development of open sources and free software movements that have tremendously changed the world. "Open source is a way for people to collaborate on software without being encumbered by all the problems of intellectual properties, such as having to negotiate contracts every time they buy pieces of software", according to Bruce Perens, the Author of Open Source Definition.
Just as Richard Stallman puts it, whoever sitting in front of a computer should be able to do what he/she wants to do. A person who was there yesterday shouldn't be controlling what you are doing today, this is truly an individual freedom, thought as free speech and not free food ("not a price but freedom").

Interviewer: You said Steve Jobs, he invented prisons for users of Apple?
No, let me say, you could say it that way, but that is not the way I said, “He figured out a way to make computers set a jail for their users, and make them so shine that millions of fools would beg to be jailed.” - Richard Stallman.
